Still here, just busy

Nathan just gave an awesome presentation about winter Crows at the Midwest Birding Symposium.   He started cello lessons.  He's finishing up three modules for Young Birder of the Year: writing, photography and field notebook.  He has two more presentations in the next three months.  He'll take the PSAT and the ACT.  He's about to finish up a great season of bird banding and hopes to continue Spring, Summer and Fall banding with MSU while he's here in Lansing.

May attended the church service for her Re-Member experience.  She was happy to see the people that she went to South Dakota with, but I'm glad to report that she found church boring (so that's no different from an LDS ward).  She's working hard at finishing three modules for YBY as well: field notebook, photography and illustration.  She's planning on taking flute lessons next semester.

Elijah is finishing up his huge project at Fenner.  We are within just a few hours of being finished.  That is, finished enough to turn in the project.  We will continue our work over there to keep up the area.  Elijah is sounding really nice on his viola and along with May and Sariah will have his first MSU Children's Choir concert of the year this week.  Elijah is also finishing up his illustration module (doing some really nice stipple drawings) and his photography module.

Sariah is still making cool things with paper and clay.  She's decided that she'd like to be a hummingbird for Halloween and has begun to design the hat that she will wear complete with long, thin bill.  Ruby-throated hummingbird is her favorite bird.  She's playing French Horn and loves that instrument with a passion.  She is also finishing three modules for YBY: illustration, field notes and writing.

Brigham has followed Sariah's lead and makes lots of things out of paper and clay too.  Except everything he makes out of paper and clay is a security camera.  Every day he starts a new count of security cameras.  He often accompanies me on errands trying to up his count.  He's having a hard time deciding if he's saving his money for  Logitech security camera or for night vision goggles.  He's so smart that he rarely learns anything at school, but he enjoys it nonetheless.
