Snowbird

The day after we arrived in Utah, we headed up to Snowbird. In the winter it is a ski resort. In the summer, there are a load of fun activities to participate in. My sister, Jodi, found the discount tickets for this activity and my mom paid for it (Thanks, Mom!). She also supplied this incredible spread for a picnic lunch that we all enjoyed together.

It was so good to have everyone together! It was a sunny, warmish day, full of fun. There was an alpine slide, a bucking bronco, jumping on the trampoline with bungees, a bounce house for the kids, and a zip line. For this you are strapped into a seat which is attached to a cable. They push you off and you ZIP through this air to the bottom of the line--slightly thrilling! Ok, really just the idea of it scared me to death, but I did it just to say that I had! We also rode a gondola to the top of the mountain and then hiked a trail down to a big lift that took us back to the bottom.

Sariah found a friend in her Uncle Brady whom she had never met before. She kept him going on the alpine slide and had a blast. Nathan and his cousin Landon became buddies almost instantly. It was nice to watch my kids making friends with cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents and just spending the time together. It was beautiful up there! A day to remember.
