13 Degrees Below!

Michigan winter has arrived! Yesterday it was 44 degrees, but today huge wind gusts are bringing us 13 below. It's Nathan's fault, really. He tells me that if you wear your p.j.'s inside out and backward (see below), you'll have a snow day. He must have heard wrong though, because it's actually a cold wind day, with only about one inch of snow.
Here's the steam from last night's pasta on Sariah's window.

So, we are chilly this morning!

  1. I am going to try Nathan's trick the next time I need a day off.

  2. All the kids in NJ do that, too. BUT you're also supposed to sleep with a spoon under your pillow AND at 9pm all the kids in town flush their toilets. If you combine the toilet flushing, spoon sleeping, and pajama inside-outing, you're guaranteed a snow day the next day! ;-)
