Time for an exciting announcement!

Here it is!

Nathan got the long awaited results today.  He received FIRST place in the Conservation/Community project.  He received a THIRD place award for his photography.  He was given a THIRD place overall rating!

Nathan gave a total of 250 hours of his time on the Conservation/Community project alone.  This project entailed removing various invasive species, leading bird walks, providing education for summer campers, and creating new bird lists for the nature center.  He also monitored migrating birds and nesting birds.  The write-up he did at the end was about 15 pages and resembled a college honors thesis.

Thoughts and ideas were brewing around here today as his siblings tried to figure out how they could get in on the action next year.  Stay tuned!
