Corn Palace

This place is called the Corn Palace and it's located in Mitchell, South Dakota. It was a short stop on our trip because the we used a set of children's books from the library to plan our trip and this was a suggested stop. It is a big building with a large auditorium inside which they use for various activities. What's so great about that, you ask? Well, a large portion of the outside of the building is covered in, you guessed it, corn and corn husks. There are also pictures inside of the building each year it has been decorated with corn. They listed lots of statistics like the time it takes to decorate and how many tons of corn it takes. I can't remember that at this point. At any rate, it was kinda cool to see it!
