Polo: The Runaway Book

Here's a book that Sariah saw sitting on end at the library yesterday. It's set-up a little like a comic and has no words which is so great for her because she can tell the story. It's about a little dog whose book is stolen and the adventures he encounters as he tries to retrieve it. We've got another one on hold called The Adventures of Polo. The author is Regis Faller.

Sariah's storytime at the library is fabulous. Miss Cathy reads stories, of course, but also shares lots of songs with movement (scarves and noise-makers make it fun!). They also do at least one flannel board story and have a craft. Brigham is getting into it too. He runs to grab a scarf or noise-maker when it's time. Lately, rather than trying to escape the story room to the train table outside, he's been spending time on my lap watching the stories unfold.
